Providing End of Life Nursing Care At Home in the Local Community
Lawrence Home Nursing Team provides end-of-life care to patients in their own homes, free of charge, and the service is available to anyone living in Chipping Norton and the surrounding villages.
Health professionals highlighted that patients were being admitted to hospital to die because there wasn't enough care available in the Community.
Following a plan written by Dr. Martin Lawrence and carried out after his death the Lawrence Home Nursing Team was formed in May 1999.
Lawrence Home Nursing Team is now well established and had been able to provide care to over 620 patients and their families. The Trustees are responsible for overseeing the running of the Charity and ensuring its financial stability. The day to day nursing management is the responsibility of the Registered Nursing Manager.
Lawrence Home Nursing Team works in close partnership with patients, their families, GPs, Community Nurses and Hospitals, Hospices, the Marie Curie and Macmillan nursing services.
There is no charge to any patient or family for the care we give.
