Confidentiality

Patient information will not be disclosed without that person's consent. The duty of confidentiality owed to a person under 16 is as great as the duty owed to any other person. All patients can expect that their personal information will not be disclosed without their permission (except in the most exceptional circumstances when disclosure is required when somebody is at grave risk of serious harm). Patient information is held within the practice according to data protection legislation. We may need to share information with other professionals involved in your care within the NHS.

Information shared for the purpose of research or health promotion is not identified to individuals. Patients have right of access to their own records and we are always happy to arrange this on request.
